Man cleared over €600k seizure of cannabis

A Chinese national has been found not guilty on charges related to the seizure of over 800 cannabis plants with a street value over €600,000.

The verdict was reached yesterday after the three-day trial of Liang Lu Wang, aged 28, who denied possessing the drugs, having them for sale or supply, and cultivating them at Mondaniel business park, Rathcormac, Co Cork, on Nov 19, 2012.

Liang Lu Wang stood and bowed to the jury acknowledging his acquittal.
