Irish man, 61, charged with murders of four soldiers in 1982 bomb

A 61-year-old man Donegal man has been charged with the murder of four soldiers in the IRA Hyde Park bomb in 1982.

John Anthony Downey was at Westminster Magistrates’ Court to face four counts of murder and an explosives charge.

He is accused of being responsible for a car bomb left in South Carriage Drive.
