Motorway mayhem as car hits four vehicles

There was “mayhem” in Dublin last night when a car sped down a motorway exit in the wrong direction, careering into four other cars in its path.

The driver of the car, whom it is believed was being pursued by another car, was being treated for serious injuries at Beaumont Hospital last night.

The seven drivers and passengers of the other cars were also being treated for serious injuries. None of the injuries were believed to be life threatening despite the horrific consequences of the crash.
