Elderly woman had no water in home for months

When older person’s charity Alone answered a call from an elderly woman whose outside tap wasn’t working they found she had no water in her house for months.

The situation only came to light when a volunteer visited the woman, who lived alone and had no family or friends.

Alone, which helps older people live at home, know people make little of their situation, so every call has to be carefully teased out.
