RTÉ paid for Healy-Rae’s €500 cab trip

RTÉ hired a hackney cab to bring Independent TD Michael Healy-Rae on a round trip from Kenmare to the RTÉ studios.

The 650km trip could have cost about €500, according to local sources.

Mr Healy-Rae yesterday said he could see nothing wrong with RTÉ hiring the car to drive him from his home in Kilgarvan, Co Kerry, to Dublin for the Saturday Night Show last weekend.
