Health Minister James Reilly has come under yet more pressure to bin his controversial nurse graduate JobBridge plan after the HSE again refused to confirm whether anyone has applied for the 1,000 posts.

Two weeks after health service managers were forced to extend the scheme’s application deadline due to a lack of interest, a HSE spokesperson said the number of applicants could not be revealed.

This is despite the fact that today is the final deadline for the scheme.
