Neeson: Young people bombarded with explicit images

Liam Neeson has hit out at the sexualised nature of modern-day society and said he is concerned that young people are being bombarded with too many explicit images.

The 60-year-old actor admitted he has struggled to cope in recent years with what he considers to be an information overload about sex.

Neeson, a father of two from Ballymena, Co Antrim, said: “I’d hate to be a kid now, because we’re all inundated with so much information about sexuality coming at us from everywhere — the media, the advertising billboards, just everywhere — and it must be so confusing for them.”
