Doctors in Britain have already warned that the squishy liquid pouches are a significant health issue, causing serious damage to the throats and airways of children duped by their attractive and sweet-like packaging.

Now, the National Poisons Information Centre in Beaumont Hospital, Dublin, has confirmed that it too has had numerous calls from parents anxious for the health of toddlers who bit or swallowed the liquitabs or who managed to burst the packet, squirting liquid detergent into their eyes.
