Four new companies to create 100 jobs
Jobs Minister Richard Bruton, who announced the plans, also revealed that two other emerging businesses are to establish their European headquarters in Dublin.
Online games developer Red 5 Studios will create 30 positions in Cork, technology firm Aasonn will provide 30 jobs in Dublin, hair product organisation Van Tibolli Beauty Corp will create 25 jobs also in Dublin, and web-based research firm Qualvu will fill 15 roles in the capital.
Canadian analytics firm Infobright and financial service company Md7 will also set up their European, Middle East, and Africa headquarters in Dublin.
“Today’s announcement that six high-growth emerging companies are locating operations here with the creation of 100 jobs is great news for Dublin and Ireland,” said Mr Bruton.
“The Government is determined to build on this to ensure that we can continue to see the flow of multinational investment to Ireland and help create the growth and jobs we need.”
IDA chief executive Barry O’Leary said the news adds to Ireland’sreputation as a hub for new companies. He said the fact Ireland is home to the headquarters of major firms, such as Twitter and Facebook, was evidence the country is home to a skilled workforce.
“Ireland is home to key foreign direct investment players across a range of sectors and the availability of a highly skilled dynamic workforce, make it a preferred choice for innovative, proactive and fast expanding companies with ambitious plans,” he said.
