Search for baby missing from ferry

The North’s emergency services were last night continuing to search for a baby reported to have fallen from a cross-channel ferry in Belfast harbour.

The coastguard received a call from Stena’s Cairnryan-Belfast sailing reporting that two people, a woman and a baby, were in the water in Belfast Lough close to Holywood, Co Down.

The woman was recovered by the pilot boat at 6.25pm, 15 minutes after the alarm was raised, and was taken to hospital.
