Louis fears it could be curtains for his acts but denies judges’ rift

X FACTOR judge Louis Walsh has admitted he is worried that controversial contestant Kitty Brucknell could be sent home by the public this weekend.

Louis fears it could be curtains for his acts but denies judges’ rift

It was revealed yesterday that two acts will be sent home by a public vote in tomorrow night’s results show.

The Mayo judge also played down reports of a deep rift between the female judges, Kelly Rowland and Tulisa Contostavlos.

The Westlife manager said: “They haven’t fallen out badly. You put any two girls in the studio and the same thing is going to happen. We all want to win.”

He also insisted that the judges weren’t summoned to Gary Barlow’s house at the weekend to iron out simmering tensions on the panel.

He said in an interview with ITV’s This Morning: “We were just having dinner. There was nothing to iron out. We’re all in competition and we all want to win. We are all good friends at the same time.”

Speaking about who could leave the competition tomorrow night he said: “It’s never predicable. Who would have thought Misha B would be in the bottom two last week?”

He revealed that Kitty Brucknell, is misunderstood by the public after being at the centre of race row this week.

He said: “Kitty has been pretty misunderstood. She’s a fantastic girl to work with and she works so hard.

“She is a brilliant singer and a great performer. I don’t want to lose Kitty this weekend.

“There are two people going on Sunday. I am in danger of losing her.

“I’ve got to know the real Kitty. She’s calmed down. She’s a great singer.

“She’s hard to get to know. Lady Gaga is on the show on Saturday week and I want Kitty to meet her. She is her idol.”

The blonde singer is set to perform a storming version of Madonna’s Like a Prayer tonight to try and make it through to the next round of the competition.

Walsh admitted if his two acts ever landed in the bottom two, he would not be able to decide on who to send home.

He said he is too emotionally attached to Kitty and Johnny Robinson to choose between them.

Walsh also said Simon Cowell hasn’t had much input into the British show. “What would he know? He’s in America. He did Skype call us.”

Johnny, who is one of the audience favourites, said the X Factor guru was encouraging to the performers during the transatlantic video call.

He said: “He didn’t give us a rocket.

“He was quite nice and said to be true to yourselves and be who you want to be and be a diva.”

Meanwhile, heartthrob Frankie Cocozza has been tipped for exit tomorrow night when two acts will be voted off the show.

Louis Walsh said he thought the Essex teenager would be one of the acts to go in the double eviction, but his mentor Gary Barlow defended the singer.

Barlow said Cocozza had a “presence” when he was on stage.

He said: “The point is with Frankie, we’ve never tried to sell him as the best singer.”

Barlow also said he was not worried by Cocozza’s partying antics, saying: “I’ve had this conversation with him. He feels the need as an 18-year-old to go out and let his hair down.”

Meanwhile, fellow judge Kelly Rowland has said she and Tulisa Contostavlos have “agreed to disagree” after the pair fell out on the show.

The trouble started when Tulisa and Louis Walsh accused Kelly’s act Misha B of bullying the other contestants.

But Rowland, who said she spoke to Tulisa on Thursday, said: “We have agreed to disagree and that’s just the start and the end of it.”

Earlier, Barlow condemned the “bickering” that has dogged the reality TV show, saying it was not what viewers were tuning in for.

The focus should be on the contestants’ on-stage performances and not the judges’ arguments, he insisted.

“I’ll be honest, we’re not too fond of all falling out because it’s all about the contestant, it’s got to be with this competition. That’s what people are tuning in for.

“They can have bickering at home every day of the week. I don’t like us to be seen bickering on stage.”
