Mystery still abounds as Jones reunited with dad
She earlier spoke for the first time about her ordeal to gardaí but just added to the mystery of her disappearance.
Ms Jones said she couldn’t remember anything from 8.30pm last Friday until 7.30pm on Tuesday, when she woke in the foliage around the old rectory in Glencolmcille, Co Donegal.
She was discovered 17 hours later in a weakened state on a couch inside the rectory, which had a broken window pane.
She told hospital staff and gardaí: “I don’t know what happened. It was cold and it was raining and I thought I was going to die.”
She was reported missing on Sunday afternoon and a massive €50,000 search of Sliabh League and other hills and mountains in the area was carried out.
It is expected she will return home to Georgia with her father next week.
