Transatlantic flight diverted
The crew of the privately owned business jet declared an emergency late on Tuesday night and diverted to the mid-west airfield after vibrations were detected in the aircraft’s left engine.
The Raytheon Hawker 1000, owned by US-based Calla Airways, was about 450 kilometres west of Ireland when the crew raised the alarm at around 9.45pm.
