19-year-old’s death probed

A GARDA ombudsman commissioner has told an inquest into the death of a 19-year-old man, who was being followed by a Garda car when his car collided with a barrier, that the commission is expecting a decision by the DPP within the next number of weeks.

Paul Peel of Coultry Road, Ballymun, Dublin 9 was injured in a road incident in Cavan on November 6, 2009.

He died in hospital on November 14, 2009.
