Dublin tops for bottom worries as Galway has day in the sun

IT’S a known fact that when selling a product to a couple sales people will direct their pitch to the woman — the person they really need to convince.

Dublin tops for bottom worries as Galway has day in the sun

So in times of doom when developers and estate agents are finding it difficult to shift property there’s light on the horizon for them — in certain parts of the country anyway.

Live in Limerick where you’ll probably never be concerned about wrinkles; but if you buy a place in Cork you could end up joining all the other women in fretting about aging; or check out Galway where sun beds are all the rage.

And to knock a few thousand off an asking price in Dublin — they can tell prospective buyers that women living in Ireland’s capital city have the most cellulite.

Research released by Vaseline shows that while most people are afraid to get out of bed in the morning amid fears of a looming recession, a third of Irish women say they are worried about wrinkles and almost half worry about getting old.

Limerick is the one city however where nobody is worried about wrinkles — instead they are more concerned about necks and saggy eyes.

The survey, which was conducted among 200 women in Ireland, also found Limerick women are the least concerned about the overall aging process while Cork women were most worried.

More than half of Irish women do not think their skin will look better or younger by spending money on expensive products, and the celebrity whose skin is most admired by women is Angelina Jolie.

Actress, Amy Huberman and girlfriend of rugby supremo Brian O’Driscoll said she thinks it is great to see that women understand the need to look after their skin and moisturise often to keep their skin looking good.

“I think it is important for women to moisturise regularly and I do every day after my shower,” she said.

But that doesn’t help the quarter of Irish women who said they suffer from dry skin.

Admitting they have dry skin or wrinkles in one thing, however, when it comes to cellulite it’s a different story.

Just one in five women said they have cellulite — rising to almost one in three in Dublin.
