Traffic wardens plan to take legal action over stress levels

TRAUMATISED traffic wardens are preparing to flood the courts with personal damage claims.

The number of cases to be brought before the civil courts countrywide is estimated at 30, with most of the actions likely to be determined at circuit court level.

Trade union SIPTU said the work of traffic wardens, along with people engaged in vehicle clamping, are at the top of the league of the most stressful occupations.
