I SEE Ryle Dwyer has resurrected the old canard about the priest in Daingean who admitted he had boys stripped naked and flogged in a stairwell to make it more humiliating (Irish Examiner, May 6). Allow me to lay that particular ghost to rest.

MY recent performance on the Vincent Browne radio show discussion on the Child Abuse Commission has evidently been causing Ryle Dwyer sleepless nights. He has used a second column (Irish Examiner, January 28) to bash me.

Preliminary results released following the examination of Kilkenny boy Willie Delaney, who was exhumed from his grave, indicate he died as result of a medical condition.

The definitive cause of death of 13-year-old Willie Delaney is still unknown this afternoon, following preliminary post mortem results.
