Lenny Henry is to make his stage acting debut as Othello, it was announced today.

TAOISEACH Bertie Ahern took leave of the Dáil in typically understated fashion yesterday, preferring to pay tribute to those with whom he had worked rather than outlining his accomplishments.

IN his last speech to the Dáil as Taoiseach, Charles Haughey quoted from the closing lines of Othello, saying: “I have done the State some service; they know’t. No more of that.”

Although Christopher Eccleston, who plays the latest Doctor, successfully saw off the Autons and received a warm response from viewers and critics alike, the actor has taken the decision to quit the series.
