THE head of the country's environmental watchdog has rubbished claims that the Government's health adviser asked it not to licence two incinerators in the absence of a health impact study.

A group of Limerick students are ending a five-day walk today when they arrive at the proposed site of the country's first toxic waste incinerator in Ringaskiddy.

SO Indaver Ireland has now taken to quoting the World Health Organisation's (WHO) stance on modern incinerators, and isn't it reassuring to know that they rely so heavily on that renowned source for advice (Irish Examiner, April 9).
