Bandon came close to causing a major shock in Division 1 of the Munster Junior League against defending champions Clonmel. The second division champions were leading 7-6 at half time with a try from Chris Laidler which Richard Walsh converted.

Muskerry produced a huge performance to defeat a fancied St Senan’s side 25-7 to clinch fourth place in Division One of the Munster Junior League and qualification for the All-Ireland Junior Cup next season.

Clonmel were crowned Munster Junior League champions for the first time as Junior Clubs again dominated in the Munster Junior Cup.
