Netflix and Nickelodeon have formed a new, multi-year output deal to produce original animated feature films and television series.

Once upon a time we could look forward to a Murphy film, even when he turned out to be just as annoying as in the one before – doing his Eddie Murphy School of Acting thing – but that was a long time ago.

Oscar nominee he might recently have been, storming out when he didn’t get the award, but Murphy has had a career long on the slide. This feeble effort won’t halt the decline.

Tim Allen has had an alarmingly patchy film career: this flea-bitten effort won’t be counted in his list of ‘All-Time Greats.’

Spare a thought for the delicious Ms Johansson, glittering star of the recent screen hits Lost in Translations and Girl with a Pearl Earring.
