SELECT Retail Holdings, the owners of Superquinn, will cut its debt burden after selling off some of its properties to Friends First for €142.5 million.

DOMINIC GALVIN has resigned from his post as managing director of Superquinn only eight months after joining the grocery retailer.

THE new owners of Superquinn, Select Retail Holdings, plan a €60 million refurbishment of the group’s 21 stores over the next few years.

SUPERQUINN deputy chairman Eamonn Quinn has left the supermarket chain after its €450 million takeover by Select Retail Holdings was formally completed yesterday.
