The newspaper industry has expressed concern that proposals to water down copyright protections will make it more difficult for newspapers to stop their content being reproduced without permission or payment.

The publication this week of a report recommending an overhaul of Ireland’s copyright laws is to be welcomed. However, less welcome is the response of Enterprise Minister Richard Bruton.
