Media reports in the United States are suggesting Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have already tied the knot, as preparations appear to be underway for a multi-day wedding celebration in New York.

The  New York Post's ‌celebrity gossip column Page Six has reported that the couple have married in private ahead of ‌ celebrations at Madison Square Garden.

The publication cites “multiple sources” who confirmed the nuptials have already taken place.

“They are already married,” one source said, while a well-placed music insider in Nashville said the city is abuzz that the couple “already got legally married.”

While New York State wedding licenses are sealed, Page Six says security insiders at Manhattan’s City Clerk’s Office say they saw no Swift-Kelce license, adding, “we would know.”

A New York State marriage license is valid for 60 days, with a 24-hour waiting period before a ceremony can be legally performed — though it’s possible to get a judicial waiver to bypass that.

Another source cited rumours that a small ceremony recently took place in Tennessee.

A website that tracks Swift’s private jet noted her plane made a series of stops on Sunday in cities where the couple’s closest family members live, from Nashville, to Philadelphia and Pennsylvania, over to Tampa, before returning to Nashville, where the aircraft remained there until June 30, when it headed back to New York City.

Preparations are underway for a multi-day event at Madison Square Garden, thought to be for the wedding celebrations and many famous faces have been seen arriving.

TV presenter  Graham Norton was spotted arriving in New York City ahead of the party, photographed with his husband Jono McLeod at JFK Airport, wearing a blue shirt and shorts.

During an episode of  The Graham Norton Show last year, Swift invited Norton, from West Cork, to her wedding. He later starred in her music video for Opalite, along fellow Corkonian Cillian Murphy and Dublin actor Domhnall Gleeson.

Selena Gomez, Lena Dunham and Bradley Cooper were all dressed to impress as celebrations started.

Gomez, a long-time friend of Swift, wore a black floral strapless gown and diamond earrings for what is thought to be a pre-wedding celebration.

She shared videos of herself in the back seat of a car ahead of the event, but was without her husband Benny Blanco.

She also shared a throwback photo of the couple and wrote: “I wish Benny was here rn.”

Ahead of the evening celebration on Thursday, Girls creator Lena Dunham, also a long-time friend of Swift, was captured arriving at the venue in a video obtained by People.

Jack Antonoff, one of Swift’s signature collaborators and an ex-partner of Dunham, was also photographed making his way to the venue dressed in a suit.

Bradley Cooper, the boyfriend of Swift’s friend Gigi Hadid, was also snapped in a dark suit getting into a car heading to the venue.

Also photographed heading inside were sports commentator Charissa Thompson; Claire Kittle, the wife of San Francisco 49ers player George Kittle; former NFL star Ross Travis and broadcaster Erin Andrews.

Photos from inside the arena show decor made up of peach coloured roses, while exterior aerial shots show the venue was lit up with pink lights.

Elsewhere, Union Station in Kansas City, where Kelce plays for NFL team the Kansas City Chiefs, was lit up in honour of the couple, after they donated $26 million to charity ahead of their wedding.

A post on the station’s X page said: “Tonight, we light up Union Station in orange and teal for Taylor Swift and red and gold for Travis Kelce.

“Thank you, Travis and Taylor, for your incredible generosity today, supporting charities across the nation, including here in Kansas City, and making a lasting impact that will touch thousands of lives.

“And from all of us at Union Station and throughout the Kansas City community, enjoy your special weekend.

“We send our congratulations and wish you every happiness together. Tonight, the Kingdom lights shine for you.”

The 20 charities receiving donations include nine food banks, an animal cruelty organisation, seven educational programmes, and three children’s hospitals.

One of the food banks, Harvesters, is based in Kansas City, as is Children’s Mercy Hospital.

Swift and Kelce have reportedly invited 1,000 guests to the Friday evening do.

The Haim sisters – Este, Danielle and Alana – are expected to attend alongside singers Ed Sheeran and Suki Waterhouse, as well as several of Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs teammates.

The Knicks’ starting five, Jalen Brunson, Josh Hart, Mikal Bridges, OG Anunoby and Karl-Anthony Towns, have also reportedly been invited, following their historic NBA championship victory a few weeks ago.

Although the couple have not publicly confirmed any details about their wedding, crews have been seen unloading equipment from trucks outside Madison Square Garden, including a large carpet.
