However, he is also facing a battle against his own demons, and soon the duo become dependant on each other to stay alive as they try to discover the truth.
Pollack was a specialist in tension, as previous triumphs Three Days of the Condor and The Firm have shown, and this offering certainly doesn’t dent that reputation.

(2004) Adam (Mark O’Halloran) and Paul (Tom Murphy) have been friends since they were small boys and have followed similar paths through life, ending up as two hopeless Dublin junkies.
Over the course of a single day, these two doomed souls scrounge and steal money to buy drugs and feed their habits.
Unfortunately, fate is not kind to Adam and Paul, and after all these years together, the felonious twosome has finally run out of luck, credit and friends.
Made on a shoestring budget, this movie is testament to what can be achieved with a good idea and strong performances. In fact, O’Halloran and Murphy were so convincing that the local Garda thought they really were junkies during filming, and asked them to leave the set.
