Ronaldo marries long-term girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez in civil ceremony

The couple have been together since 2016 after meeting in Madrid

Cristiano Ronaldo has married his long-time girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez at a civil ceremony in Portugal.

The couple, who have been together since 2016 after meeting in Madrid, posted a picture on Instagram showing off their rings.

Ronaldo, aged 41, tied the knot just four days before his club Al Nassr start their 2026-27 Saudi Pro League campaign.

The couple were married in Cascais, a coastal resort town about 20 miles west of the Portuguese capital Lisbon, with the ceremony attended by their five children.

Cristiano Jnr aged 16 was born to a woman in the US whose identity has never been revealed, while his 9 year old twins Eva Maria and Mateo were born via surrogate shortly after he began dating Goergina. A year later their daughter, Alana Martina aged 8 was born and Bella Esmeralda was born 4 years ago.

The little girl had a twin – a little boy called Angel, however he sadly passed away during childbirth.

Georgina spoke about her baby’s death in her Netflix series “I Am Georgina” where she said it was the “worst moment” of her life.

While Cristano told Piers Morgan in an interview that he has his son’s ashes on an altar in their home where they have a small chapel.

The happy couple posted pictures of their of their wedding bands on their Instagram pages along with the caption “C(love heart) G”.

Piers Morgan posted on X on Tuesday: "Congrats to my friends @Cristiano & Georgina on their wedding today in Portugal! They’re a great couple, and I wish them a long and happy marriage together. Parabéns!"

Georgina has never shied away from saying she wanted to marry her Ronaldo, in her Netflix series she said "It's not up to me".

Ronaldo has scored nearly 1,000 goals in a career playing for Sporting, Manchester United, Real Madrid, Juventus, Al Nassr and Portugal.

He recently played in his sixth World Cup, sharing the record with Argentina’s Lionel Messi for most appearances in the men’s finals.
