Dixon didn't 'want to upset people' on Strictly

Alesha Dixon "found it hard to say no" to people on 'Britain's Got Talent'.

The singer joined the show after quitting on the panel of 'Strictly Come Dancing', and she admits the hardest part of the ITV show was trying not to upset people when she didn't like their act during auditions.

She told BANG Showbiz: "I found it hard saying no sometimes, but I tried to be true to how I felt. If I thought there was someone who wasn't good enough, then... well, you don't want to upset people, but I know that feeling, being 18 and trying to get your break."

Despite the problem, Alesha has enjoyed a great 2012, and is delighted she was in London during the Olympic Games.

She added: "This year I've never felt so patriotic in my whole life. I've never had so many flags up! I was really proud to wave my flag. I cried every day in the Olympics.

"We are a country who likes to slag off and moan, but this year, everyone has gone, 'You know what, we are lucky and we should celebrate that.' British people by nature love a good moan, but everyone has taken on this new positive attitude. It's been a good year."
