Fans of Marian Keyes' work will be thrilled to hear that one of her best-selling novels is coming to TV screens soon. Netflix has announced that Grown Ups will be made into an "ensemble family drama".

Complicated family ties, celebrations and clashes all feature in the book which was described by Graham Norton as featuring "magnificently messy lives, brilliantly tangled".

The plot is based around three couples — Nell and Liam, Cara and Ed, and Jessie and Rory — and it will be on Netflix in 2026.

The series will be adapted for the screen and executive produced by Australian screenwriter Samantha Strauss, it will be produced by See Saw Films.

It is one of many new projects that have been announced by Netflix for 2024, 2025 and 2026.

Launching on a date that is yet to be confirmed, the streaming platform revealed that it is also working on a new series that tells the tale of the Guinness family. Set between Dublin and New York, the series will follow the consequences of the death of Benjamin Guinness, the man responsible for the success of the Guinness brewery, and the impact on the fate of his four adult children, Arthur, Edward, Anne, and Ben. Of course, there will also be a number of Dublin characters.

Written by Steven Knight, the working title for the eight-part series is House of Guinness.

Another new series, Adolescence will see award-winning trio, Stephen Graham ( Boiling Point, Bodies, The Irishman), Philip Barantini ( Boiling Point) and Jack Thorne ( The Swimmers, Joy, Help) come together for a crime drama that is told in real-time. Directed by Philip Barantini, casting is yet to be announced for the series which is set to land on the platform next year.

Elsewhere, Black Mirror will return for season seven in 2025 while Holly Willoughby will host Bear Hunt, an action-packed competition show that sees a group of British celebrities dropped into the Central American jungle as prey for one of the world's most fearsome predators — Bear Grylls.

Fans of The Parisian Agency will be thrilled to hear about Buying London, which follows property mogul Daniel Daggers and his ambitious team of agents at DDRE Global. The series — coming later this year — will showcase the challenges of London’s luxury property market as well as the team’s personal challenges as they aim to make their mark in the world of luxury real estate.

Meanwhile, Jamie Dornan will play the roles of identical twins, Adam and Lee in The Underthrow (2025) which is based on the Nordisk Film Production AS television series, Twin.

From executive producer Guy Ritchie and Academy Award and Emmy-winning producers, Lightbox, comes three-part documentary, Millenium Diamond Heist. Set in the summer of 2000, the new series is arriving in 2026 and follows a group of South-East London criminals orchestrating what just might be the most audacious heist of all time.

Another new series, The Choice (2025) will star Suranne Jones and Julie Delpy as the British Prime Minister and French President and promises to be a “tense, high stakes political thriller” while The Final: Attack on Wembley (2024) tells the story of the Euro 2020 final at Wembley Stadium when celebration quickly turned to chaos.
