Wedding of the Week: Love me Tinder, love me true...

A Haribo ring he presented to Lianne Healy during a quiet movie night together went from being “a joke to a jelly ring on her finger”, according to Quinton Page.

Not long after, he and Lianne Healy went engagement-ring shopping to purchase the real thing together.

“Since Lianne never got an actual proposal, I felt she deserved one so I surprised Lianne with a new ring and a proposal at Market Lane, Oliver Plunkett Street, with the help of her sister Aisling who works there.”

They met when they both swiped right on Tinder and began chatting, agreeing to meet when out with friends. “We said, if nothing else, we would have had made a new friend — not yet knowing we were talking to our soulmate,” added Quinton.

Lianne, from Gurranabraher, and Quinton, originally from Johannesburg, were married in the Blarney Hotel & Golf Resort by Kathleen Brouder from Spiritual Ceremonies. They held their reception there too.

By her side as maid of honour was Lianne’s sister, Kacey Payne, with her cousin Niamh Drumond ,joining forces with her friends Kate O’Shea and Rosann Mooney as bridesmaids.

Quinton’s cousin Dylan Lloyd was his best man while his stepsons, Cian Healy and Rilen Corkery, were groomsman and pageboy/ringbearer respectively. The couple’s daughter, Teyah Li Page, joined her brothers centre stage as flowergirl.

“Everything went to plan, the hotel and staff were amazing. The ceremony was very personal and full of love and emotion,” said Quinton.

The men in Lianne’s life really pulled out all the stops, added the groom. “Lianne’s dad, Denis, paid for the day, her stepdad, Ralph, and her mom, Roberta, bought her dream dress for her and her grandfather, Con, who sadly passed away suddenly in October, organised the entertainment, the Celtic Knights,” he said.

Lianne was stylish in a Christina Wu gown from Vows bridal boutique in Blarney and the Glam Girlz took care of the bridal hair and makeup.

The groom was dapper in a suit sourced in Gentleman’s Quarters.

“We decided to do ‘first look’ pictures but when I turned around as usual Lianne was running late and was still in her pyjamas!” said Quinton.

Agnes Stodolny of Bracket Photography captured the big day on camera and Uray Weddings provided the videography, while June’s Blooms created the floral arrangements.

The newlyweds, who are based in Cork city, honeymooned in Lanzarote.

Lianne is a beauty therapist at Guilty Little Pleasures, Blarney, and Quinton is a print technician.
