Online Lives: 22-year-old fashion blogger Sarah Hayes
UL graduate Sarah Hayes, 22, enjoys sharing creative content on her fashion blog as well as her social media accounts.
āWhen Iām not working or studying, youāll find me doing something creative like making a fashion video or writing a post for my blog, PinkSars.com,ā she says.
āI honestly love being creative online. Whether itās making an outfit video with cool edits or just editing photos - thatās what I love the most. Plus, Iāve met some great people through blogging, which is just an added bonus.

āThe Irish blogging community is honestly so supportive and kind. Iāve met some incredible people through the online Irish blogging community and Iām so grateful for another great way to meet like-minded people.ā
She has started in a graduate programme and works as a PR and media assistant in Tourism Ireland while completing a post-graduate degree, and she believes her blog has helped her career.
āWithout my blog, I donāt think I wouldāve gotten the graduate programme that I am on now,ā Sarah says.
Blogging has helped me to stand out when looking for jobs since graduating college. Although blogging is quite common nowadays, it makes you stand out
āItās helped me build my confidence too when I see what Iāve created online.ā
Finding time to produce quality content in a busy industry has sometimes been difficult, she admits.
āFor me personally, finding the time to give blogging a real go has been an ongoing struggle.
āI started my blog in college and worked weekends, so finding time to cram in taking a few pics for the āgram was definitely a struggle. This is something thatās ongoing but just trying to find a balance and at least get a few posts up is all that matters.
āAnother aspect that can be difficult too is keeping the momentum going. Blogging has become so saturated, so you really have to work hard to keep your content current and different, to make people actually click onto your page. Thatās something Iām still working on.ā
Having spent āa lot of yearsā writing about trends that have come and gone, Sarah focuses on her passion for fashion and writes about many other subjects close to her heart as well.
Looking back, I think I wasted a lot of years blogging about things that I didnāt really care about, simply because of trends, but now Iām posting what I like
āI usually post images of my outfits but I love to always write about mindfulness, positivity and just life in general.ā
