Elephant rushes into river to help a man

This video shows the bond that can form between humans and animals.

Kham Lha, an elephant at Elephant Nature Park, thought Darrick was in trouble so she rushed into the river to save him.

Darrick wasn’t really in any difficulty but he’s lucky to have a friend watching out for him all the same.

Elephant Nature Park is an elephant rescue and rehabilitation center in Northern Thailand.

The park provides a natural environment for rescued elephants and Darrick is one of their many volunteers.

A representative of the park said: “This can show us that, when we treat an animal with love, they always pay love back to us”.
