There is no doubt in Holocaust survivor Marcel Levy’s mind that he owes his whole life to one man, Sid Shafner.

During the Second World War in 1945 Shafner - who’s 94 now - helped to save prisoners from the Dachau Concentration Camp in Nazi Germany. One of the men he rescued and took to safety that day was Marcel.

Earlier this week, after 71 long years, the two were tearfully reunited in the States. Marcel, 90, warmly embraced Shafner and thanked him for saving him from the horror of that time.

“Everything I have today, all of my children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, is due to you,” Marcel told Sid.

News cameras from ABC News captured the moment and after the reunion Marcel and Sid introduced their respective families to each other.

We agree with what Sid says at the end, both of the gentlemen do look beautiful.
