It’s here, it’s here, it’s finally here! And we’re so sad… *wipes “something” from eyes*

Yep, John Lewis have got the festive show on the road with another tear-jerking Christmas advert. This one features a little girl called Lily who spies a lonely old man on the moon.

People were getting emotional in a number of different ways. Here’s a taster of the Yuletide sentimentality sweeping social media.

5. The advert’s song – Norwegian singer Aurora covering Oasis’s Half The World Away – was also getting a lot of love.
