Sorry what? … Ed Sheeran played a secret gig in Dublin last night

AND WE MISSED IT!

Ed Sheeran made a surprise appearance at the Ruby Sessions acoustic event in Doyles on College Green last night, naming it one of the “best gigs of the year”.

This morning his tweeted:

Sheeran is no stranger to Ruby Sessions and there was some speculation on twitter about a special guest appearance.

The singer was in Ireland to attend his cousin Laura Sheeran’s wedding and while he was here, decided to play the gig.

Turns out we missed an amazing night. Sigh.

Ed played a two hour session in which the last 30 minutes he spent standing on a table.

Fans took to twitter this morning gleeing with excitement after seeing the singer.
