The day Superquinn died

Superquinn was officially killed off today and there was much gnashing of teeth on Twitter over it.

Fergal Quinn, the company founder, said the rebranding of Superquinn to SuperValu was like a happy marriage for his daughter.

"If you didn't like the new husband, you wouldn't be happy … but if you're very happy with the new husband, you'd say: yep, she's going on to a new life."

Quite.

Others may disagree Fergal. Is there room in this marriage for the Superquinn sausages?
