GAZE film festival begins today

The GAZE Dublin Lesbian and Gay International Film Festival gets underway today.

This is the 19th year of the festival, which runs at Screen Cinema, The Irish Film Institute and the Project Arts Centre over the next five days.

Earlier this year the festival ran the GAZE New Filmmakers Project, a competition for the best original lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender themed short-film.

The winner, 'Hold on Tight', will premiere at Screen Cinema tonight.
