Lott flies herself to launch gig

Chart star Pixie Lott proved she was a high flyer today by taking the controls of her own specially chartered jet, en route to her album launch.

The teenage singer donned a pilot-style uniform as she flew to Berlin – in an airliner repainted with her name – for a two-leg launch for debut album 'Turn It Up'.

The 'Mama Do' singer flew out family, friends and competition winners to the city where she presented an exclusive gig at a Berlin studio to screaming fans in preparation for her album’s release a week today.

“This is my first international gig so I’m very excited to play songs from my new album,” she said.

After performing in the German capital she was being whisked back to London for a show at the HMV Forum tonight.

Lott, 18, became an instant success with the release of her single, 'Mama Do', which went to number one earlier this year.
