Jackman named People's sexiest male of year

Hugh Jackman can add another trophy to his mantelpiece – he has received the honour of being People Magazine’s sexiest male of the year.

The Aussie actor, who stars with Nicole Kidman in the upcoming Baz Luhrmann epic Australia, was picked because according to Nicole: "Women’s jaws drop when Hugh walks into a room. Hugh is tough and romantic at the same time."

The 40-year-old nudged out Brits Daniel Craig, who came in second place, David Beckham, Gossip Girl’s Ed Westwick, and Twilight’s Robert Pattinson.
