Beyonce wants Wonder Woman role

Beyonce Knowles has stated her desire to play sexy hero Wonder Woman on the big screen.

"A black Wonder Woman would be a powerful thing," the singer and actress tells the LA Times. "It’s time for that, right?"

Actress Lynda Carter made the role of the skimpily dressed heroine famous on TV in the 1970s.

"I would definitely have to keep it right for that costume," says Beyonce. "The way that Lynda Carter wore it, she was so fine. She was amazing. I saw her costume at the Met (museum). Her waist was unbelievable. It was pretty crazy, actually, her proportions."
