Bacon impresses in action flick Death Sentence

Nice guy Nick’s (Kevin Bacon) world is turned upside down in 'Death Sentence' (EIV; €24.99) when he’s caught up in a robbery which leaves his son dead.

When the killer (Matthew O’Leary) is arrested and then freed, Nick’s thirst for revenge gets the better of him and he sets out to remedy the injustice.

While James Wan’s effort comes close to hitting the right spot, it’s never more than just another vigilante film that hits a few raw nerves. Watch out for a nice performance by John Goodman, though.
