Queen Elizabeth II signs up to YouTube

British monarch Queen Elizabeth II has set up her very own 'Royal Channel' on video-sharing site YouTube.com.

Footage available on the channel includes old and recent footage of the British royal family - with the Queen's Christmas Day speech being made available on-line for the first time.

A spokesperson for the monarch says: "The Queen keeps abreast with new ways of communicating."
