Crooner Bennett on the mend
Singing legend Tony Bennett is recovering well after a bout of flu that forced him to cancel several US tour dates.
The evergreen star, 80, was also due to appear on US TV talent show 'American Idol' last Wednesday, but had to cancel the performance at the last minute.
"His doctor did feel he should rest for three or four days, so we took that advice, and he's done so, and he'll be back on his regular schedule," said Bennett's spokeswoman Sylvia Weiner.

"It was just a bit of the flu, like we all get. A couple of days rest, and he's fine and raring to go."
Bennett will resume his work schedule tomorrow with a private show in Tuscon, Arizona, before performing in Las Vegas on Friday and Saturday.
