Springsteen shows up at own tribute concert
Bruce Springsteen surprised fans on Thursday night, when he turned up at a New York tribute concert held in his honour.
The Born in the USA star performed three songs to an ecstatic audience at Carnegie Hall.
He told the crowd: "The good news is… I'm not dead yet!"
Among the stars performing at the event were Patti Smith, Steve Earle, Juliana Hatfield and actor Kevin Bacon, who sang Streets of Philadelphia with his band The Bacon Brothers.
