Double-disc documentary shows its Metal

If you’re a heavy metal fan then check out Heavy Metal — Louder Than Life, (Freemantle, €27.99) a fascinating double disc documentary on the genre with everything from fans to the musicians and bands.

And what bands — Led Zeppelin (my favourite) to Metallica via Deep Purple and Thin Lizzy. Dick Carruthers’ film includes contributions from producers as well as artists, and an abundance of extras.
