Hunter: 'I don't want Rod's money'

New Zealand supermodel Rachel Hunter refused to take any of ex-husband Rod Stewart's money as they finalised their divorce last month - because she thinks it's wrong to take money which isn't hers.

The 36-year-old blonde beauty insists she will live on her own earnings and will only accept money from Stewart towards raising their two children Liam, 11, and Renee 13.

Hunter says: "I think it's wrong for women to take half of someone's money when they haven't earned it.

"Rod is taking care of the children, as he should do, but I am supporting myself now and am financially independent.

"I've just bought the new house with my own earnings. I'm going to have to tighten my purse strings but I don't expect Rod to support me."
