'Special twist' on Oktoberfest announced as part of Halloween celebrations in Limerick

Mayor of Limerick, John Moran said: “Following the success of the first year of Limerick’s participation in Fáilte Ireland’s three-year Home of Halloween initiative, a huge amount of work has been taking place behind the scenes to build on that momentum and create an even more exciting Halloween experience for 2026.

Limerick City and County Council has unveiled a spellbinding programme of events for Halloween in Limerick 2026, supported by Ireland, Home of Halloween, the all-island initiative led by Fáilte Ireland, Tourism Ireland and Tourism Northern Ireland, celebrating Ireland as the birthplace of Halloween. A "spellbinding" programme of events are set to take place in Limerick for Halloween, including a "special twist" on Oktoberfest.
