Newman celebrates birthday and anniversary

Veteran actor Paul Newman has celebrated his 80th birthday and 47 years of marriage to Joanne Woodward with a lavish party at his Westport, Connecticut, home.

Guests attending the bash were treated to the live sounds of the Emerson String Quartet, followed by dinner at Newman's home, where the cake was in the shape of a racing car.
