Police corruption and mixing with the wrong company are the themes of this thoughtful, well-paced and thoroughly excellent thriller which succeeds because the screenplay leaves out most of the stuff which usually renders such films unwatchable; this is fine writing at its tightest, carrying the tale along from one gritty scene to the next.

It's a powerful story of morality, played to perfection by a fine cast which collectively operates on a high level of confidence and assurance. It's a little gem!
