China’s richest man plans to invest 50 billion yuan (€6 billion) to build the country’s version of Hollywood in the eastern city of Qingdao.

ANG LEE’S spellbinding Lust, Caution (Universal; €24.99) is a dazzling, compulsively watchable spy thriller, mixing eroticism and a powerful performance by newcomer Wei Tang.

Lee certainly makes interesting films – Brokeback Mountain for one – and certainly never stints on bringing his audiences a rich mixture of visual and emotional delights.

Police corruption and mixing with the wrong company are the themes of this thoughtful, well-paced and thoroughly excellent thriller.
