We reach, we are assured, the end of the complex Matrix road when all will be revealed.

We have followed the manic adventures of everyone concerned in this clever, special effects-packed futuristic sci-fi over several episodes, and most of us still don't know what was going on.

It hardly mattered, actually, it was the usual good guys against bad guys (usually in tight-fitting suits and dark, menacing shades) and it was thrillingly exciting, a film packed with action.

One scene alone in this latest Matrix reportedly cost $43m so you get some idea of what to expect … even if you still won't understand what's going on.
